In Christ Alone
Though I could pride myself in battles won
For I’ve been blessed beyond measure
And by His strength alone I’ll overcome
Oh, I could stop and count successes like diamonds in my hands
But those trophies could not equal to the grace by which I stand
In Christ alone
I place my trust
And find my glory in the power of the cross
In every victory
Let it be said of me
My source of strength
My source of hope
Is Christ alone
In Christ alone do I glory
For only by His grace I am redeemed
For only His tender mercy
Could reach beyond my weakness to my need
And now I seek no greater honor in just to know Him more
And to count my gains but losses to the glory of my Lord
In Christ alone
I place my trust
And find my glory in the power of the cross
In every victory
Let it be said of me
My source of strength
My source of hope
Is Christ alone

The Hand Phone Story
Didn't manage to blog about this incident. Was busy. Hardly to say that. Mother's day is coming. Work is busy. And God is good.
OK, what about the hand phone?
Remember I was trying to sell my w960i? After 2 months using the phone, I thought it might be a wiser decision to sell it off. My situation was a bit sad because because I bought it in Singapore and therefore my phone value is worse than a normal AP phone...
So with all my heart, I uploaded a post to lelong.com to sell my phone at RM1.8K.
Not much feedback initially, the price was just not realistic enough.
Suddenly L pm and asked, "Are you Laverne from CHC?"
I was thinking in my heart. Wow, I'm so famous that I was tagged together with CHC. The second thought was, OK this guys must be from church lor. So I replied L and I was right. L used to come to CHC.
After talking to L, I found out that L was actually needed to sell off the e90 before committing to my w960. So we were almost in a deal to trade with one another... but it didn't happen. L apologized for choosing iphone over my humble walkman.
First attempt.
A little disappointed. Still this is my first try for a business. So I decrease my selling price and I tried the most conventional method - word of mouth. Not surprising and there were no news at all.
On a random Friday, L suddenly came into the picture again. L asked if I am still interested to sell my phone because L's friend might be interested. So I told L I am ok to sell it at 1.5K with minimal scratches at the back. You know me. You know how I treated my phone. So when I say it is minimal, it is really minimal. L asked to meet up the next Monday to check out on the phone condition. Although I hope to sell my phone but frankly speaking I don't wish to waste my time meeting up. Brilliant me, suggested to send L photos of the phone and L's friend can think about it first and let me know later.
OK. So I was annoyed by L. It was a busy weekend for me. L sms-ed, called and tried to "remind" me only need to take the scratches part and don't need to showcase the nice part of the phone.
Second attempt.
Didn't feel sorry at all for the delay of sending the photos over, there was no news from L then. Laverne was just can't be bothered to follow up with L.
On the first Wednesday of May, I received an sms from L again.
The final attempt.
And guess what is my reply?
Finally 10!

My heart says...
I do not know how to pen all these down in words.
It is a joy to see a new believer to be so open about God, and willing to receive the teaching and culture of the church. I was so happy that when she told me that she received the gift of tongues. I didn't tell her that I actually saw her from the stage, seeing her worship God and learn to dwell in the presence of God. It reminds me of what the bible says, those who seek me will find me.
It is so amazing to see how people decide to change rather than procrastinate about situations. God must have seen his determination and his faith. I thank God for letting me to see miracles to happen around me. He was someone disobedient, loving the world but today he is now loving God with all his heart and pursuing God with all humility. How amazing!
It is a privilege to know ordinary people with extraordinary heart for God. Their willingness and teachable heart have been a great blessing to me. Thank you for sharing lives with me. Thank you for inspiring me. Thank you for reminding me that God always love the simple hearted.
I thank God for His unending love for all. It is a joy to have a family member saved. God answers our prayers and He loves making miracles happen.
But...
I asked God in my prayer why do people justify themselves? Why do people just want to come to church to remind God that they are a believer? Why do people are not hungry for the word of God? Why do people take the love of God for granted? Do they really think that Christians are really that stupid and that's why they can take advantage and take for granted? Do they think what they are doing is acceptable before God? Do they really have a relationship with God? What should I do? What else should I do?
I've seen people with difficult believe system and religion background will stand for their faith in God and the harder it is to stand on their faith, the more they want to be deep rooted in God, the more they cherish God.
I am just not happy. I am just sad to see people taking God for granted. I am just now happy about it.
Many people "know" about they have a calling in God. But how many of them are willing to do something about the calling?
An encounter with God is definitely more than just another article writing or blog entry.
Jesus, I can't imagine worship without knowing you. I can't imagine singing without knowing you. I can't imagine going to church without knowing you. I can't imagine being a Christian without knowing you.
I just can't do it without you.

11:50pm
10 more minutes and it is another brand new week. Weekend was gone. But I really think it is worth it to trade the Penang trip with having Pastor Kong around for the weekend. It is definitely worth it!
It was a random thought that I suggested that we should have a meeting and everyone will bring/showcase what they like to play/eat when you are a kid. So you can expect some guys come with their Spiderman costume..keke. Talking about Popeye, I went google for the things kids do/eat and I found this.
Spinach! I only understand why Popeye need spinach. If only I know Google earlier, I could have been a scholar. :)
8 Foods You Should Eat Every Day
Spinach
Sexual enhancement, Muscle growth, Heart healthy, Bone builder, Enhances eyesight
It may be green and leafy, but spinach is also the ultimate man food. This noted biceps builder is a rich source of plant-based omega-3s and folate, which help reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, and osteoporosis. Bonus: Folate also increases blood flow to the penis. And spinach is packed with lutein, a compound that fights age-related macular degeneration. Aim for 1 cup fresh spinach or 1/2 cup cooked per day.

Solid Weekend
We are having Rev. Kong and the team for our weekend service. Tomorrow will be our 4th and final session with Rev. Kong. So far for the past sessions I have been tremendously empowered and "recharged". The tangible presence of God, strong atmosphere and most importantly the solid revelation received in each and every single session.
Pastor shared something very interesting. He said, sometimes it is not about how well the chef cook or what are the best dishes are being served on the table. The bottom line is whether this person has the appetite for the food or not.
It became so TRUE when the same night as I encountered people who has no spiritual appetite for the Word of God and presence of God in their lives. It just makes my heart ache. We got the man of God here, the great team to minister to us, and everybody did their best they know how in order to see the Word of God to manifest in their lives. But the sad thing is when there is no hunger for all these things. The heart became a stony ground for life to grow.
Dear God, make my life a good ground for your Word to be deep rooted.
I long for you in my life.
