Last year we did 400. This year 500.  Furniture delivery orders to be fulfilled within a month. :)

MAWC2009 was a blast. I am really proud of our team as we learnt wiser from last year’s system and processes.  I think marketing department really shine this year as we managed to get the craziest crowd ever on the first day and customers came back the next few days for more furniture hunting. New methods of advertising and reaching our target customers and I think it is really cool and far more effective than newspaper advertisements..

Day 1 was remarkable. The place was jam packed by crowd & transactions within the FIRST 2 hours. We had early closure by 2 hours (how about that for a warehouse clearance ;p). We just wanted to call it a day so that we can prepare better for the next 3 days. It started to rain elephants and giants around 4pm and one of the tent collapse due to strong wind & rain. All our warehouse staff are so busy holding and covering the furniture at the tent area. The rain stopped and we got to asked to crowd to leave the place so that we can prepare for the next three days. Just about to start closing the place, we got a call that there will be VIP guest visiting us in 30 minutes time.

Frankly speaking, I am quite happy that most of the negative feedback received was queue was TOO LONG. I like it. It got to be really worthy queuing up for mah…

p/s: Jin and I bought SO MANY cushion pillows and we got a room divider for only RM429 (n.p. RM2k++).

I want to remember this event not just because of the sales we generated, but the people I am grateful and appreciate working with them as a team. They are history makers.
