I’m Coming Home For Christmas…

I am currently taking Clexane for these 5 days and will be taking Warfarin for this 3-6 months time.

Sial, just this line alone is technical enough for me..

1. I did not take long hours flight recently.
2. No one in my family has similar problems.
3. Not taking any special pills.

It started with backache (because I slept on the couch yes I know I’m smart) and then I felt my right leg knee was a bit painful and I thought maybe I was standing for too long.  The 3 hours practice at church feels like 3 centuries for me as I kept trying to find opportunity to sit down. By the evening, I felt the pain spread to my leg muscles and I can’t really tell which part is painful and I thought maybe it could because of the bad weather and I might be having “fung sap” for my old injuries on my right ankle?

I woke up middle of night. It was just very painful. Painful. I tried massaged it and find the most comfortable posture I can sleep (now I am lying straight on the floor).

I went to see the Chinese physician (Master Urut) on Sunday evening after Jin Chong came back from church, hoping that the Master will help me to massage the painful-numb-painful leg but he didn’t. He told me that I have a very weak womb and lack of blood. He prescribed me 3 sets of Chinese herbs medicine that will strengthen me and advised me to come back  after 3 days. No kidding, I almost got to write down the boiling instruction…soak in water for 15 minutes, boil 3 bowl of waters and become 1 bowl water, etc…

I went to work on Monday. Now, call me one-leg-pain. I wore slippers and my whole car (and myself) smell like a walking salonpas. Sial salonpas is expensive…My boss and I were researching if my right leg was swollen as compared to my left leg (I think I start to lose feeling of my right leg…haha). Only managed to drink the first prescription of soup on Monday evening.

The next day, I called up Jin Chong at 10am and told him that I am in front of SDMC. Yes, I drove all the way there by myself and yes it got to be no kidding seriously painful for me to step out from this painful zone…I was referred from Bone specialist to a Joint specialist and the doctor suspected I may have blood clot on my knee and asked me to take a blood test and ultrasound scanning….for my right leg.

Looooooooooooooooooooong wait of story and I make it short, I was required to be warded and to be transferred to the Blood specialist doctor…So there I was…with Jin Chong..We confirmed the admission procedure by7pm? Tired. :( Leg pain, wallet pain.

We went back home to pack. I did my admission checklist. Man, it is more like a holiday trip. And the bf assigned me to write Christmas cards since I can’t go anywhere…So if anyone of you receive my handwritten or electronic cards, it is sincere and hard work.. I can’t be mobile shopping for Christmas……

Man, this is so long and I feel so sleepy typing all these and it is only 8:05pm.

Thank you all for your SMS, cards, gifts, and prayers. If you notice a woman keep talking to her feet, yes that’s ME (the bible says speak to the mountain and cast it to the sea, it shall be removed, Amen). I am speaking to the 2 bloody clots to be DISSOLVED DISSAPPEARED AND GO AWAYYYY.

I checked in yesterday night after our Christmas party at 10pm and I had my first injection :((((((( at 11pm. Shhh, I teared a little. Not very painful, but think about the 9 remaining shots, I am cursing the blood clots already.

I woke up this morning at 7am. No choice, my alarm rang and I couldn’t fall back to sleep.  Everything seemed normal except the bill is about RM900+ by now and I am with a less swollen leg. Good sign. Just about to enjoy my breakfast, the lab came in my room and I was served with another needle for blood test.

I don’t know why, I just don’t like needle.

11am. Got my second shot of Clexane. Yesterday was three fingers left on my stomach, Now, three fingers right on my stomach. 2 down. 8 more to go.

KF and Michelle came and visited me. Then Karyn and mom dropped by before her scheduled check up. Jin Chong came and brought some sinful food and more pillows for me.

Greg and Jenn is flying here on Friday.
The insurance rejected my application. Sial. Need to call the agent tomorrow.
Maxis sent me my bill, finally. I’m gonna call 126 tomorrow.

The nurse guided me and I gave myself the 3rd shot. :(

According to the doctor, I will be on 5 days course of Clexane (2 injections daily) to prepare my body for the Warfarin to take effect. If it does, PTL! No more poker face. Else, I will need to bring home needles…

Doctor said by taking Warfarin will help me to dissolve the blood clot. My target INR is 2-3. I don’t know what it means but now I am below 2. In these two days there will be another blood test and I am praying for miracle. Will be taking Warfarin for 3-6 months period (not sure yet) but I have to be more careful throughout this period. I will have higher risk to some of the side effects stated in the book like bleeding, bruises, and bleeding..and bleeding.

Oh yes, the pharmacist from SDMC talked and explained to me in detail and I was actually taking notes. Too many facts to understand and remember. :)

When can I be discharged?

I asked doctor if I can be out before Christmas. Yesterday  night, he said should be able (provided I know how to do the injection myself).

I am praying for recovery. I am praying for healing. I am praying for positive blood test result. I just got many parties I don’t want to miss, you know? :(

Please pray. for me. for my right leg. Pray for body to receive Warfarin.
